I’ve had friends test other Latin American countries and Europe as well. They decided to move to Puerto Vallarta. The major reasons were, the friendly people, the immigration ease compared to other countries, and of course the incomparable food! No other country has such diversity in delectable dishes.

Thank you for the assessment. I haven’t been to any of these places but I have friends who have lived in each you mention and now they all live in Ajijic and Chapala for some of the reasons you mentioned. I have been to Guanajuato once and I loved it, met friends I’m still in touch with and I recognized every photo in the article. Lovely town..just a bit cooler than Lake Chapala 🙂

I couldn’t agree more. Mexico is truly magical. I would put up against the best European countries. We have lived all over the world and Mexico is hard to beat for all the reasons you outline.
