who is the one that wonders? Why would the Americans give credit or recognition to anyone but themselves? Anyone who even dared would likely be fired anyways.

It’s interesting that in the press release by the Justice Department Attorney General Pamela Bondi thanked many people and organizations on the U.S. side but made no mention of and didn’t thank the Mexican counterparts for their assistance. Without Mexico’s cooperation this extradition never would have happened. One wonders why no credit or recognition was given to Mexico.

This looks like an attempt to appease Trump with another gesture to stave off his tariffs. But it will lead to a bigger “ask” from Trump next time.
When will Sheinbaum counter his treats of tariffs with her threat to him? And what could it be?

For Mexico this is a big deal. Even though some of these criminals are old they and their organization commented many crimes against both Mexican citizens and United States citizens.
And the Mexican government will take the full brunt of the Narcos retaliation. Hopefully this cooperation will influence the U.S. not to level tariffs on Mexico. I must give credit to president Sheinbaum and her government for working on cooperation with the U.S.
