Do you want to live in a better all around climate? Do you like a diverse culture? Do you want a better, more affordable lifestyle? Do you want live where friends and family want see less divisiveness, more caring? Do you want to experience real, quality medical care? Most Mexican cities and the towns around them provide this opportunity? Living in Mexico is very hard to beat. How often do do you see friends and family? The ones who really care about you will come down and see you as you live in a much better place.

My wife and I struggle with the same issues. We love PV and have been visiting since 2006. Since retirement in 2018 we have been spending 4 months in Mexico . The Mexican people are excellent people. Friendly , polite , helpful and we love them and their country.
As for Canada we live on a large lake in B.C. in a fairly remote location and the summers are very beautiful, clean lake to swim in and dinners on the deck with family and friends.
The winters quite frankly “ suck “
We will travel back and forth as long as health permits but our place on the lake will be where we end our time on earth .
God bless the lovely people of Mexico.

I knew that I wanted to establish permanent roots in Mexico to simplify my life, plus I married a Mexican which has created for me even more reason to not look back.

It takes us 12 hours plus to fly from our home in Washington State to the state of Oaxaca.

Maybe I’m missing something…driving? Google says 40 hours, which makes more sense.

The commonality between them is they all wanted life to be full of experiences. Mexico and our choices for community have provided that and more….

Taking out my book and sipping a smoothie from the cafe I wave to a group of Mexican men my age who chat here every morning for around two hours.

There’s usually six, sometimes eight. They look like grandpas to me. Don’t ask me how….
The other personal delight I take is that like me, they are wearing shirts with collars, formal pants (never shorts and no baseball caps either!) and polished shoes. Just like me.
We’re figures from a more formal and better dressed past of men.
And that’s fine with us.

Married my Mexican wife in 2001. Own our own house in Queretaro (nice city) and own an off grid cottage in the mountains in the middle of nowhere. I am 83 and my wife is 73. We are independent and each drive our own vehicles. We love our retired life in Mexico and cannot think of any country that is better then this. VIVA MEXICO!
