To: Michael L. I’m 87 years old and one of the important things I have learned is to take with a grain of salt when reading or hearing anything that comes out of the U.S. state department. So why don’t they cover the bad things that happen daily in this country?? Probably it would keep them to busy. Michael you are right on with your comments.

Wow so true! Exactly, Mexican culture is definitely one of kindness and family. I grew up in a culture that focuses more on independence and materialism as well, and have found Mexican culture so incredibly welcoming.

Great to hear from Europeans living in Mexico! We lived in Europe for 10+ years and have found Mexico to be such a refreshing place to live. It’s a very warm, social and family-oriented culture — which isn’t very different from Spain (where my husband is from) — but still, a much slower pace of life that I really enjoy.

Yes the world has got a very skewed conception of Mexico. But I see the silver lining, we get to enjoy this beautiful country to ourselves. Besides, Mexico has enough tourism. 😉

Look forward to following your work. I’m a Californian but I love traveling to all parts of Mexico. So frustrating that so many from the US have no idea how amazing Mexico is. They are afraid to travel there. I’ve been championing Mexico travel to anyone who will listen but often times it is futile…..
