No matter where I buy from I’m helping someone somewhere. As they are helping me.

You buy local. Let others decide for themselves. Mexicans, like everyone the world over, deserves high quality products at the best price possible. With relatively low incomes in Mexico they need low prices more than many.

I am waiting for Xiaomi to sell the SU7 and hopefully in Mexico. I saw one in San Diego at a trade show and it is an amazing vehicle. Very similar to Porsche styling, luxurious fit & finish, and incredible performance for the equivalent of $66k US. The German equivalent vehicles are $180 – $200k+.
If Mexican automakers can compete and give me what I want in an automobile, I would 100% buy Hecho En Mexico. I simply want a cheap (reasonably), EV/Hybrid, that gives me the experience I get from my German ICE vehicles. Since the US can’t/won’t (F’k Tesla), the Europeans aren’t there (yet?), the Koreans are getting closer, but the options are slim. Unfortunately, at this time, the Chinese are all over it. And until all the self righteous, wanna-be do-gooder, hypocrites get rid of all the cheap Chinese crap filling their homes, I don’t give a damn about their opinion on my wanting to buy a automobile from China. Coming from a small farm town, I was raised to buy everything I can locally and I still support my local businesses and the families that run them, but an automobile is a different thing entirely. If/when there’s an apples to apples competitor, I will support the local brand, until then, I’ll purchase what I want. Unless you’re buying, then I’ll take whatever and be happy with it. ✌️

As I’ve said many times: buy national products from the local merchants! 🇲🇽

The gasoline engine can also act as a generator to charge the battery while driving, similar to models like the Chevrolet Volt

China’s current total output of full electric vehicles significantly exceeds its ability to absorb them within its domestic market. Exports are a virtual necessity, in addition to the objective of dominating the world market for full electric vehicles. Unlike most int’l auto production, China’s electric vehicle strategies are primarily governmental, vs. producer specific.
