Terrific article. I have heard and seen tidbits of information regarding hockey in Mexico, but nothing as informative as your article. Having about 10k acres outside of Grand Forks, we grew up playing hockey on UND Fighting Sioux ice, and UND is where everyone in the family goes for college - my daughter is going back for grad schoolin the fall. We're big hockey fans. Season ticket holders to local USHL & AHL teams at home in the US, I also stream the NCHC season, and we attend 20+ NHL games per season. Winnipeg Jets, Chicago Blackhawks, & St.Louis Blues fans, since those teams (& the North Stars) were who mom & dad took us to see as kids. I was hoping to see Edmonton hoist the Cup each of the last 2 years, but unfortunately it was not meant to be. With contract negotiations coming up, perhaps we will see a Matthews & McDavid pairing in the future. They both deserve a Cup and together they would be a formidable combo. With the explosion of hockey in Dallas, it's great to read that the Stars organization is working beyond Dallas with the MIHF to grow the sport in Mexico. I immediately went to the MIHF site and started following them and will be certain to watch for more hockey news in Mexico. I wish their app was available for Android devices. It would be great to see more hockey news in this publication as well. Please share more in future articles! Having found a few hockey bars in Mexico, I know I'm not alone in loving the sport outside of the US & Canada. Again, thank you for the informative article. &
