The book is a historical novel about Selkirk’s life and the capture of the Manila Galleon in the waters of the Pacific Ocean, near Cabo San Lucas.
Laura Bueno is a well known Mexican Author who has researched the topics about privateers and navigators in the Pacific Ocean.

Another great example of your journalistic skills. Here is another surprising story about another castaway who was a Spaniard. “The Spanish castaway story on America refers to the 1528-1536 expedition of Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca and his fellow survivors who were shipwrecked along the Gulf Coast of present-day Texas. After years of hardship, Cabeza de Vaca and a few others eventually reached Spanish settlements in Mexico.” “The name of the black sailor who traveled with Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca was Estevanico, also known as Esteban, Estevan, or Estéban. He was an enslaved African Moor, born in Azamor, Morocco.”
