It a huge problem in Puerto Vallarta. They come in and build these big resorts and condominium developments and literally destroy the streets and natural beauty of the tropical area. After they sell out they take their profits they leave town. It really sad to see.

It was a one-time event when I smelled and saw sewage floating on the water, I decided never to go back to the Guadalajaran-visited restaurants. Years ago the infrastructure could not handle the people showing up from Guad. The local people know where to get good food. One extraordinary choice is “Viva Mexico.”

Anywhere development outstrips infrastructure, we have to ask where is the water coming from and where is the used water going.
And how much more traffic can the roads take?

You are absolutely correct. All developers anywhere in Mexico must pay a deposit up front for infrastructure improvements to roads, electrical utility lines, water system and sewage plants and trash dumps.

Let’s hope they get these hotels to pay to improve and expand all the infrastructure. In and around Lake Chapala the infrastructure is already heavily over taxed. Raw sewage running into the lake, power outages and horrible roads/sidewalks are the norm.
