And her smartest move is her delicate dance of feminine vs leader. #1 – she created a uniform with a SKIRT ( nod to tradition) & neutral color palate . # 2 HAIR – what’s there to say ? Looking at her picture she could be CEO of Microsoft, Nobel prize winner, Astronaut— but you know she is SMART & she is SOMEBODY. & she has POWER.

In this particular situation she uses some bespoke tactics. The smart way she continually repeats critical points. Her adversary truly believes if something is repeated enough it is true. Her REALLY smart absence at the new Oval Office – pseudo casino – a place to humiliate & bully world leaders as unfortunate as war-weary Zelensky. The phone is perfect — no crowd to play to. I think climbing The traditional machismo pole of MX politics gives her the perfect skills for dealing with that toxic mess USA seated. The USA has a huge power base- but I really don’t think any other leader on earth could do better. Who knows where this will end up but I know my interests & Mexico’s are in strong hands. Not because she is a woman but because she is so smart & well prepared.

Agree. If you look at all the countries who have been threatened with tariffs, President Sheinbaum has done perhaps the best job of any. Japan and the EU looked weak by negotiating a “deal” (totally questionable whether it will ever happen). Canada had a bad start but has recovered. She’s been consistently smart, not escalating, not allowing herself to be baited, and focusing domestically on issues important to Mexicans.
