As we know that Google is working on driver less car and were thinking that something will come up from Google with Car. Recently Apple seemed to be more involved in automobile industry ( Tesla Buyout News). Now Apple has introduced an innovative iphone feature for the car systems, the company finally came out today with the a product which is suppose to change your phone usage while driving.
What is CAR PLAY
Apple has named this system as Car Play. This feature is designed to provide car drivers with extraordinary experience by using their iPhone in the car. CarPlay uses the Siri voice commands and gives an ‘eye free’ user experience for responding to incoming calls by voice control button. It can even be used to spell out text messages and access the music library.
The voice control button will be put to the steering wheel of the CarPlay cars. Apple promises that “if it controls your screen, it controls CarPlay,”. It will permit the users to use the physical knobs and dials by voice and touch to interact with the iPhone.
CarPlay will come as an Ios 7 update. But, only iPhones with lightning connectivity are so far supported by this feature (iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5). Additionally, CarPlay will also let the users access third party music apps from Beats Radio, Spotify, Stitcher, and iHeartRadio oter than its own iTunes Radio.
This new integration CarPlay enabled Cars will be put into exhibition at the Geneva Motor Show this week. The cars will include models from Ferrari, Mitsubishi, Kia, Toyota, Suzuki, Volvo, Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, General Motors, Peugeot, Nissan and Mercedes-Benz.
Apple Maps ( Seriously!!!) can also be used with this for an easy navigation on the car’s built in display. Again, it will be an excellent use of Siri for free driving, reading the messages aloud, voice directions etc.
